Prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos

O Most Holy Lady Theotokos, through the power of thy grace vouchsafe us, thy servants, to fulfil the commandments of thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ; that, cleansed from every defilement of the flesh and spirit, we may live and serve Him in truth and righteousness all the days of our lives.Grant us wisdom and courage to fear God more than men; strengthen us in faith, hope and love; grant us sobriety and peaceableness; guard us from every enemy seen and unseen; and in the hour of our departure from this life, present us as purified vessels before the throne of Christ, that in all things Thy Son and our God may be glorified. Amen.
