Thanksgiving After Holy Communion

Glory to Thee, O God. (Thrice.)I thank Thee, O Lord my God, that Thou hast not rejected me, a sinner, but hast made me worthy to be a communicant of Thy holy Mysteries. I thank Thee that Thou hast made me, the unworthy, worthy to partake of Thy most pure and heavenly Gifts. But, O Master, Lover of mankind, Who for our sake didst die and rise again, and didst grant us these fearful and life-giving Mysteries for the well-being and sanctification of our souls and bodies: grant that these may be also to me for the healing of soul and body, the averting of every adversary, the illumination of the eyes of my heart, the peace of my spiritual powers, a faith unashamed, a love unfeigned, the fulfilling of wisdom, the observing of Thy commandments, the increase of Thy divine grace, and the inheritance of Thy Kingdom. That being preserved in Thy sanctification, I may always be mindful of Thy grace, and no longer live unto myself, but unto Thee, our Master and Benefactor. Amen.
