Prayer Rule of Saint Seraphim of Sarov

Upon arising, stand before the holy icons and say thrice: O God, be merciful to me a sinner. (With a bow.)Then: The Creed once. The Lord’s Prayer thrice. The Theotokion: O Virgin Theotokos, rejoice... thrice.In the middle of the day, say these same prayers once each. And in the evening, these same prayers once each.Going to bed, say thrice: O God, be merciful to me a sinner. (With a bow.)This rule is for those who cannot perform a longer rule due to weakness or business. One may perform this rule everywhere — while walking, lying down, working — but without distraction.
